Engineering support

The engineers who specify the module answer the questions about it.

Sizing, interface selection, optical stack review and pre-tooling sign-off. Included with a programme, not sold alongside it.

Support that happens before the build, not after it

Most display problems are decided on the enclosure drawing. A backlight that will not survive the enclosure. An aperture that forces a bezel change. A controller that cannot drive the panel at the frame rate you need. Each is cheap to fix in a review and expensive to fix in tooling.

So our engineering support runs front-loaded. You send the requirement, we return a specified module with the figures behind it, and we review the optical stack against your build before tooling is committed.

Three things included with a programme

Module specification

Panel, interface and driver recommendation returned with the reflectance and power figures behind it.

Optical stack review

Cover lens, bonding method and anti-glare treatment checked against your ambient range and viewing geometry.

Pre-tooling sign-off

A mechanical and optical review against your drawing before you release tooling.

What we can take on

Specify Included

Module selection against a requirement

From enclosure drawing, ambient range, power budget and interface to a named module.

Review Included

Optical stack and cover lens review

Material, coating and bonding assessed against the light the product actually sees.

Integrate Included

Driver and timing support

Interface options and timing worked against the controller already on your board.

Test On request

Measured optical and thermal reports

Reflectance, contrast and environmental results at conditions you specify.

Build Per programme

Engineered-to-order development

Custom diagonal, aperture and stack developed from your drawing through first article.

Scope varies with programme volume. Ask what is included for your expected quantities.

Have a requirement you want reviewed?

Send the enclosure drawing and the power budget. An application engineer answers with a specified module and the reasoning behind it.
